Ah I know Kazza, the m16 is such a beautiful gun... I've put a madbull blue rubber and nub in it, just needs a spring and connector change and it'll be perfect

Though, I have so much I want to do to it, It would be cheaper to just get the L85 and do the RMC loadout I've got planned

Just wish I'd of got an a2 instead of the a3, then It would go with my ALICE gear. Now I need to A4'ise it to make it go with my modern Recon kit

Or just get a TIRAS/CIRAS rig and some USMC stuff? That'd make a nice A3 loadout

I already run a USMC Recon rig Tac. A3 was never used by the Corps, they went straight from the a2 to the A4 AFAIK.

It's very hard to make a proper airsoft A4 though, if you're as pick as me anyway. I gave up because it was too hard making an ASCU work, which I needed for burst mode, and I wanted the FN A4 receiver for it to be properly accurate, but they're about as rare as hen's teeth.

Unfortunately Ed, I am as picky as you lol. I'm leaning towards settling for a RS M5 and a G&P Acog. I've got burst fire working perfectly on my m4, it'll work no problem in the M16 too as it's just a plug and play.

Was looking at the G&P reciever I've got too mate. The fire selector writing looks like it could be easilly changed so I'm going to look into that. I'll let everyone know how I get on but can't imagine having funds for a few months.

I considered getting a blank receiver and getting it engraved, but I never found anywhere I'd have been able to get it done. I couldn't find any decent reference photos to base it off either.

Good luck with it though, if I'd managed to sort mine out, I'd have a US Marine loadout right now, instead of a British Army one.

Ed mate, I was just looking, G&P don't sell the A4 here, but they make correct FN lowers with burst engraved. Should be able to get somewhere to order one in if you ever wanted to go for it!
