9 rota (the 9th company), only available in russian (and german) but with subtitles.

Pictures some events of Operation Magistral during the occupation of Afghanistan by Soviet forces.

Six Days, not proper war movie but it's decent (imo)

Act of Valor, with real SEALs, bad acting but eh, one scene is worth the entire film, shot with (a fuckton of) live rounds if I'm not mistaken.

12 Strong, The Outpost, Generation Kill, the Jarhead saga aren't bad (imo).

Seal Team seasons 1 and 2, season 3 is a bit lackluster to be fair, not as catching as the other two. Hope that Season 4 gets the show back to its origins.

My first recommendation is Nytol. The original or one a day, not the herbal ones because they're shite.

Other than that, The Siege of Jadotville and Kajaki are both excellent films. The Hurt Locker and Tears of the Sun are also well worth a watch.

Tears of the sun solely because of the MK23 :P

Also, 15 minutes of war (L'intervention in baguette, about a GIGN rescue operation in Djibouti)

april 9th: the battle begins

very interesting perspective of the danish defence against the german invasion in ww2, it's in danish with subtitles but the way the story is told without external "here's what's happening on a grand scale so you the viewer know stuff the characters don't" really excellently portrays the fog of war.

afaik it's still on prime.

wonder, do we need a thread for lesser known war films?
