    What you really want is a .50 cal Beowulf, it’s a .50 adaptation of an AR!

    Yeah bolt action, .308 is actually quite a boring and ‘loopy’ cartridge to shoot, try 7mm Rem-mag.

    Would be a cracking little gun, especially if you were to stick subsonic’s/moderator through it. personally my favourite go to calibre is the .243 (not Ackley).
