I have seen other people in posts say that mags should only be oiled every once in a while to help travel of the spring. It's suggested that you keep a bag of bb's that are used as the 'oil' bb's when maintaining your mags, obviously you shouldn't fire the bb's you have used to oil the mags up...

Crikey what have I started! Lol. Just wanted to ask as a beginner, I would like to learn more maintenance and how-to stuff to look after my weapons, rather than pay for it to be done. Although I do understand sometimes you do need a pro to look at your weapon!

Have just enquired and I had green gas within my mag. My friend has informed me it's simply propane mixed with silicone. Is there differences between brands on this type of gas that could potentially overpower a weapon?
