    Possible paint removal advice.

    I recently used a product called Biostrip 2.0 to strip paint off of a mate's polymer m4. Took a few passes but it removed 99.9% of the paint, and only mildly discoloured the plastic underneath, which was returned to black with some light spraying and matt varnish.
