Evening gang. I’m trying to build a vaguely respectable early GWOT CQBR Block 1 and am after an M951 torch without paying the silly prices being asked for the genuine originals. Don’t suppose anyone can suggest a viable clone alternative? Cheers 🙂

Cheers @Shep120181 - not quite unfortunately, seen those ones but they’re based on the later M951 from 2010s onwards, the early version I’m after has a body a similar diameter to the tail cap.

That means there are now two of us looking for said torch lol 😂
 
As I understand it, the Mxx1 designation was for thumb screw mounts, which were Block 1, and Mxx2 was for the ARMS/quick release lever mounts. Could be wrong though - the internet is full of guff after all… 😎

I've been down this very rabbit hole and it appears that no, there aren't any replica fat body models

It's like - is this going to be a CQBR or a MK18 Mod 0? Almost identical....but not quite.

If I ever manage to find a C7 upper, I'll be rebuilding my Gordy clone but making the decision to go IRL clone of BHD clone was one step - realising that not only was the sight hard to find (although solved with a replica Aimpoint 5000 now) but the OPS MK3 suppressor isn't technically right but the actual right one is impossible to get hold of!.

Why do we do this to ourselves?

I placed an order with them a month ago and another 3 weeks ago, I'm treating this like an order from asia with the expected delays, I have had an email from them saying both orders will be dispatched together & the postal charges will be refunded for one of them as the have a standard charge for international postage.
 
There's plenty of thin-body 951 clones around. The 961 isn't any closer to the fat body IMO.
